Designer’s Note: "When designing The Celestial Threads Pullover, my goal was to merge the mystical allure of astrology with the comforting embrace of winter knitwear. I wanted to create a conversational statement piece that feels as though you are wearing a map of the night sky, blending artisanal craftsmanship with everyday ease. The Silhouette: This piece is designed with an emphasis on effortless, relaxed layering. The jumper features a comfortable, slightly oversized boxy fit with dropped shoulders to create a slouchy, lived-in drape. A classic ribbed crew neckline keeps the top structured, while the gently stepped hemline—slightly shorter in the front with subtle side slits—makes it the perfect canvas for layering over crisp, oversized shirting for a high-low styling effect. The Motif & Embellishments: The true magic of this garment lies in its intricate surface detailing. Rather than a standard print, the front bodice serves as a gallery for the twelve astrological signs of the zodiac. Each astrological figure is meticulously embroidered using a rich mix of metallic gold and silver threads, intertwined with delicate hand-applied beadwork and sequins. Arranged in a striking grid formation, the metallic embellishments catch the light beautifully against the dark background, creating a vintage, tapestry-like aesthetic. The Material: To ground the ornate embroidery, the sweater is spun from a plush, charcoal-grey wool-blend knit. The deep, heathered grey base acts as the perfect 'night sky' canvas to make the golden motifs pop. The fabric is soft and textural with a subtle brushed halo, providing substantial warmth and a cozy, tactile feel without sacrificing the garment's fluid drape."
